Supporting Our Communities

We offer a range of community-based programs designed to support students and families beyond the classroom. From early literacy and enrichment to parent support and school navigation, our services expand access and respond to the needs of communities across New Jersey, particularly multilingual and underserved families in Warren and Middlesex counties.

  • A one-hour weekly program helping children ages 3–5 build early reading skills and confidence before kindergarten.

✔ Build early reading and writing skills
    ✔ Prepare children for kindergarten
    ✔ Safe, supervised drop-off program
✔ Led by certified teachers trained in early literacy

    Tuesdays and Thursdays
    10:00–11:00 AM
    Trinity Church

Suggested donation: $10 per week (optional)
All families are welcome, regardless of ability to donate.

  • Our Family Resource Partner program trains volunteers to support parents as they navigate their child’s education. With guidance and Wrightslaw-informed training, volunteers help families understand IEPs, prepare for school meetings, and access the services their children need. This program is rooted in partnership, ensuring families feel supported, confident, and connected every step of the way.

  • Our Homework Help & STEAM Enrichment program gives kids a place to get help with their homework and access free, afterschool enrichment. First, they attend homework help sessions led by certified teachers and after that, they get to jump into hands-on STEAM activities where they can create, explore, and try new things. This program is provided at Trinity Church for families in our community experiencing food insecurity, helping make sure every child has access to support and enrichment in a safe, welcoming space.

  • Join us for a free parent support session at the Hackettstown Library on the third Tuesday of each month at 6:30 PM. We’re here to answer questions, help you understand your child’s IEP or school services, and talk through next steps in a supportive, no-pressure setting.

  • My child's reading fluency and comprehension improved dramatically after she received high-quality tutoring services through Raising Hands. I can't say enough positive things about their ability to improve students' reading and writing abilities. Holly's tireless commitment to improving literacy education makes such a difference for teachers, students, schools, and communities.

  • I thank God for this wonderful program, which has been a blessing for our daughter. She has truly made significant progress and has caught up to her grade level. We received excellent grades this past semester, and her teachers are amazed at how much she has improved. We, as parents, are so grateful to the Raising Hands program, and we hope that more children in need, like our daughter, will have the same opportunity she has had. Thank you to you and the entire team who works with you. to quality truly stood out. We’ve already recommended them to others."
